Parents of school-aged children are invited to two special presentation about preventing bullying in November.

The topics to be covered in this one hour seminar include:

  • Defining bullying
  • How to stop it
  • What to do if your child is bullied

“We want parents to learn to understand bullying behavior, how to prevent it, how to stop it and how to report it.” Said Lee County schools’ Prevention Specialist Mary Lynn Rodriguez. “They can protect their children and any other child from being bullied if they know what to look for and what to do. Working together through increased education on bullying prevention, provides us with a united front against bullying.”

The seminar is part of a series for National Bullying Prevention Month. All parents, regardless of where they live or the school their child attends, are welcome.

The first seminar is from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 5th in the cafeteria of Varsity Lakes Middle School at 801 Gunnery Road North in Lehigh Acres.

The second is from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14th in the cafeteria of Cypress Lake Middle School at 8901 Cypress Lake Drive in Fort Myers.
