New grant program provides assistance to businesses affected by Hurricane Irma

Published: Updated:

A new program in Florida is providing much needed assistance to businesses that were affected by Hurricane Irma.

Rebuild Florida is a program of the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, which was created to help Florida residents and business owners to recover from impacts of Irma.

The first phase of Rebuild Florida is the Housing Repair Program, which will assist families to rebuild their homes that were damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Irma.

Rebuild Florida Housing Repair funds will help eligible homeowners impacted by Hurricane Irma and individuals and families from Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands displaced by Hurricane Maria.

Rebuild Florida will repair and rebuild damaged homes across the hardest-hit communities of our state, with priority funding for those low-income residents who are most vulnerable, including the elderly, those with disabilities and families with children aged five and younger.
