MGN Following the plethora of explosive devices sent to public officials through the mail this week, post offices all over are staying alert to any suspicious packages that could enter their facilities. The Post office says they look for red flags, or what they call warning signs, and are typically found through their screening process before the packages are sent out. They look for things like distorted handwriting or handmade labels, they will also look for an unusual shape inside the package. Law enforcement says these types of packages that are being sent to public officials are designed to go off as soon as the package opens, which makes the screening process that much more important.
