A 21-year-old Port Charlotte man died after crashing his car late Monday night. At 10:00 p.m., Dylan Edic was driving a 2001 Dodge Ram south on Cape Haze Drive north of Haitian Road. Edic failed to negotiate the curve and crashed into palm trees on the west shoulder, according to Florida Highway Patrol. Edic was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car which caught fire, FHP said. Edic died at the scene.
