Marco Island camp celebrates ‘diverse-abilities,’ not disabilities

Campers are soaking up the sun at Camp Able, a volunteer-run summer camp on Marco Island that focuses on celebrating differences.

Camper Kyle Gohl calls Camp Able his “second home.”

“My favorite thing about camp is hanging out with my friends,” Gohl said.

Volunteer Chris Vignes said he’s grateful to be apart of the experience.

“This is the most rewarding thing that any of us has done all year,” Vignes said.
