A brush fire sparked alongside I-75 in Lee County Sunday evening.

The fire was located around mile marker 126 on I-75 southbound, close to San Carlos Park.

Witnesses stated a balloon made contact with the power lines and caused a spark, which then caused a grass fire. This fire worked its way under a concrete fence and ignited the grass on the I-75 side of the fence.
This fire was located just behind the soccer field and the southbound lane, according to authorities.
