Crash snarls traffic for portion of Cape Coral Parkway

Southwest Florida drivers experienced delays Tuesday morning after a car hit a tree on Cape Coral Parkway, according to the Cape Coral Fire Department.

The single-vehicle wreck happened around 10 a.m. at Vincennes Boulevard and Cape Coral Parkway, according to the fire department. Motorists were encouraged to avoid the area for the next couple hours.

The driver was injured in the crash and was taken to the hospital, according to the fire department.
