James Cain, 35, of Fort Myers (Photo via Lee County Sheriff’s Office) A 35-year-old man was arrested Monday in connection with producing methamphetamine, the Cape Coral Police Department said Thursday. Police responded Friday a the 1200 block of Northeast Seventh Avenue in reference to a suspicious person call. The investigation with the suspect, later identified as Fort Myers resident James Cain, revealed he was manufacturing methamphetamine, according to police. A search warrant was obtained and the police department’s vice, intelligence and narcotics team seized the methamphetamine and other cooking materials, according to police. Cain faces charges of producing methamphetamine, trafficking 14 or more grams of methamphetamine and possessing a structure used for the purpose of manufacturing drugs, according to authorities. Bail was set at $50,000.
