Two fugitive suspects wanted on several charges surrendered Sunday to officers outside an apartment building on Central Avenue, the Fort Myers Police Department said.

Tyrone Sean Davis, 42, was wanted in connection with burglary and grand theft, according to police. A S.W.A.T. team, K9 unit and a hostage negotiator was brought in to help reach him.

At approximately 6:48 p.m., officers found Davis in the building on Central Avenue, police said. Davis allegedly closed the door on the police, locking himself in with a woman identified as Sandra Gibson, 51. They later surrendered around 10:50 p.m.

Davis is facing burglary, grand theft, dealing in stolen property, and defrauding a pawnbroker. Both suspects also face a charge of resisting an officer without violence.
