2 crashes snarl traffic for portion of I-75 in Lee, Collier counties

Two crashes caused delays Wednesday morning on Interstate 75 southbound.

The first crash happened at mile marker 116. The second happened around 7:31 a.m. at mile marker 113, according to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.

There are reports of delays stretching 8 miles.

The circumstances leading up to the crash and vehicles involved were unclear.
