The outage included Tampa, Miami, Saint Petersburg, Lakeland, Bradenton, Fort Myers, Fort Lauderdale, Clearwater, Naples, Cape Coral and 31 other cities. According to a spokesperson, “Verizon Wireless experienced interruption in service for some customers throughout the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Myers/Naples, and Tampa/St. Petersburg areas this morning. The outage lasted approximately 2 hours. Engineers were able to identify and resolve the issue promptly and service was restored by 8:45 a.m.” View the outage map here.
