FORT MYERS, Fla. A 21-year-old man was shot to death Sunday night in Dunbar.

Officers found Marvin Peacock of Fort Myers laying on the ground around 7:35 p.m. at the intersection of Pauldo and Thomas streets, police said.

Witnesses said Peacock was walking along the road when a group of men on ATV’s came up and shot him.

Mattie Johnson has lived in the neighborhood for 68 years and says another murder in Dunbar is heartbreaking, but at the same time, not unheard of.

“It’s a bad feeling inside and all you can say is ‘Lord have mercy,'” Johnson said. “What are we gonna do?”

Police are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to contact the Fort Myers Police Department at (239) 321-7700.

Witnesses may also contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
