NAPLES, Fla. The city continues to ask for more money from Collier County for allowing county residents to park on city beaches for free, putting the privilege in jeopardy. “We are residents of the county; they are not residents of us,” Naples City Council member Doug Finlay said. The city’s latest proposal for continuing the free parking would require county residents to come to city hall for a parking sticker. That would be in addition to the parking pass residents get from county facilities.
