Man crashes into house in Cape Coral early Monday morning

CAPE CORAL, Fla. One person was seriously injured after crashing into a home in northeast Cape Coral.

Cape Coral Police are investigating the crash that happened at the intersection of Averill Boulevard and Gator Circle shortly after midnight, Monday.

According to CCPD, the driver, Kevin Doyle, 30, of St. James City drove into the grass, through a chainlink fence and into the rear of a home on NE 34th Lane.

Doyle suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and investigators and the crash is considered alcohol/drug-related.

No others were injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
