Suspects accused of kidnapping boy receive $25K combined bond

CAPE CORAL, Fla. Two suspects accused of kidnapping a young boy received a combined bond of $25,000 Saturday morning.

Juan Lopez-Ramos, 26, and Etelvina Lopez-Ramirez, 20, both of Immokalee, face felony kidnapping charges, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said.

The boy was reported missing after he left to use the restroom during a soccer practice and never returned, deputies said. The couple picked up the boy from the soccer complex but never told anyone.

Lopez-Ramos and Lopez-Ramirez were arrested after they were found at their home with the boy, who is their nephew, deputies said.

Lopez-Ramirez’s bond was set at $10,000 for kidnapping and Lopez-Ramos received a $10,000 bond for kidnapping and an additional $5,000 bond for providing false information.

The couple was also issued a no-contact order with the boy.
