GOLDEN GATE ESTATES, Fla. A 36-year-old man accused of discharging a firearm in public was arrested Tuesday, according to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.

William Charless Molloy, of Naples, was on his property shooting a 40 caliber pistol into two dirt berms in May when a stray bullet went through his neighbors window on the 3300 block of 64th Avenue Northeast, deputies said.

Three people were inside the home at the time of the shooting, but no one was injured, deputies said.

Molloy was released from the Collier County Jail on a $2,000 bond shortly after he was arrested.

Molloy faces charges of discharging a firearm in public and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 25.

Firing a weapon on personal property is against the law if done recklessly, deputies said.
