(CREDIT: WINK News) LAKE PLACID, Fla. A boil water notice has been issued for parts of Lake Placid. A loss of backup power led to a loss of water system pressure, requiring the notice, city officials said in a press release. The notice runs until 6 p.m. Thursday south of Lake June Road and U.S. 27, not including Lake June Road and Highway Park. All water used for drinking or cooking should be boiled, city officials said. A rolling boil of one minute or longer is sufficient. Bottled water may be used as an alternative.
