Firefighters were able to contain a 80-acre brush fire that ignited Wednesday on Sugarberry Street near Frangipani Avenue, the Florida Forestry Center said. The blaze, known as the Sugarberry Fire, threatened more than 70 homes and shut down Sugarberry Street and Frangipani Avenue for several hours, fire officials said. No evacuations were issued. The cause of the fire is unclear.
