NAPLES, Fla. A naked woman was arrested early Friday morning after leading deputies on a car chase while intoxicated, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said.

The pursuit began around 1:30 a.m. when a deputy tried to stop Ellen Polite, 20, of Barrington Circle, near the Mercato for careless driving.

However, Polite continued to speed and tore through the nearby parking garage in her black Nissan SUV as the deputy continued to chase her, the sheriff’s office said.

Suddenly, Polite came to an abrupt stop, then quickly reversed and nearly hit the deputy’s cruiser, according to the sheriff’s office.

When the deputy managed to pull her over, Polite covered herself with a blanket. He noticed there were clothes in her trunk and made her put them on.

He also noticed Polite smelled of alcohol.

She took two breathalyzer tests. Polite blew a 0.196 the first time, then a 0.199 the second.

She is now facing a DUI charge.
