NAPLES, Fla. Crews are battling a four-acre mulch fire that was ignited Friday night on Jones Mining Road near Immokalee Road, the North Collier Fire Rescue District said.

The Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary and Shady Hollow walking trails are on significant high alert for smoke and will be closed until further notice, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said.

Motorists are asked to take extra precaution when driving on Immokalee Road as visibility is limited due to the smoke, officials said.

The flames are contained to the property but a second mulch pile was ignited around noon, fire officials said.

No structures are threatened at this time, officials said.

The cause of the fire is unclear and is under investigation.
