Man killed outside Fort Myers gentlemen’s club

FORT MYERS, Fla. A 34-year-old man was shot and killed in the parking lot of a gentlemen’s club early Saturday morning, the Fort Myers Police Department said.

Police responded to a disturbance call at Scarlett’s Cabaret at 3650 Fowler St. around 2 a.m. They found Rogerio Anjos suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot.

Anjos, also known as DJ Roger Brazil, and a friend were leaving the club when they engaged in a verbal dispute with three unknown men over a parking spot, police said. The argument quickly escalated and Anjos was shot by one of the men.

The three men then fled the scene in a dark colored hatchback vehicle with a yellow and blue New York State license plate, according to police.

Anjos was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital, where he eventually succumbed to his injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jose Gomez at 239-851-8049 or Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
