Painful goodbye: Arcadia brothers killed in fire laid to rest

Published: Updated:

ARCADIA, Fla. Family, friends and community members gathered at DeSoto High School Saturday to say their final goodbyes as three young boys were laid to rest.

Marcus Clark, 10, Kiani Clark, 8, and Kemaren Clark, 4, were killed in a tragic house fire two weeks ago on South Lee Avenue. Marian Williams, their grandfather’s ex-girlfriend, is accused of setting the fire and is facing murder charges.

The funeral expenses were paid for by various fundraising events, which raised over $70,000.

“So much was shared today about the boys,” said community leader Kay Reed. “Fishing hunting… they were just all-American boys. They just enjoyed life.”

Memorial Elementary School will also be dedicating a bench in the boys’ honor.
