NAPLES, Fla. A homeless man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after a morning robbery at an IberiaBank, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said.

Christopher M. Belyea, 34, is accused of robbing the bank at 1905 Pine Ridge Road. The robbery closed Taylor Road and placed nearby Pine Ridge Middle School on lockdown, according to deputies.

The K-9 unit, SWAT Team and deputies searched for Belyea before his arrest. The sheriff’s office earlier took a man into custody for questioning, but it wasn’t immediately clear whether that was Belyea.

Belyea never showed a gun, and deputies didn’t believe he was armed, the sheriff’s office said.

Businesses and residents near the bank were told to lock their doors and stay inside, according to deputies.

It’s unclear how much money Belyea is accused of stealing, or whether the sheriff’s office has recovered that money.
