(Photo via Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers) Lee County Sheriff’s Office investigators went to the scene of a bank robbery Thursday at Capital Bank in south Fort Myers. SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. A bank robbery took place shortly after 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said. A man told a teller he was armed and demanded cash at Capital Bank on 12205 Metro Parkway, according to Crime Stoppers. It’s not immediately clear how much money he took. The man is described as white with a medium to large frame. He was wearing a gray ballcap with the word “State” embroidered on it and a black jacket covering a shirt that may have also had the wording “State,” Crime Stoppers said.
