Local postal workers union raises alarm over mail delivery delaysOvercoming addiction: One former addict is helping others stay clean
NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. Firefighters were able to contain a 5-acre brush fire on the corner Palm Creek Drive and Aqua Vista Lane Wednesday afternoon, the Bayshore Fire Rescue District said. The blaze started around 1:30 p.m. While the fire threatened three homes, no evacuations were necessary, Chief Larry Nesbit said. It appears a neighbor burning yard trash is what caused the fire, according to Nesbit. No further information is immediately available.
