FORT MYERS, Fla. The FGCU men’s basketball team will host the University of North Florida Sunday at Alico Arena for the ASUN championship.

Junior point guard Brandon Goodwin, who was voted ASUN Newcomer of the year, had Kennesaw State University on its heels Thursday night, scoring a game-high 28 points.

Sunday’s game will be the Eagles’ fifth ASUN final in the last six seasons and the Ospreys’ second in the last three.

The Eagles have already beat the Ospreys twice this season.

“I think it’s hard to beat any team three times,” said freshman guard Zach Johnson. “I think you just got to be locked in more, you have to focus up a little bit more, you have to pay attention to detail and just lock in on their plays and how they run stuff… just be ready to approach the game just as you did every other one.”

Senior guard Dallas Moore leads the Ospreys. The two-time ASUN Player of the Year averages 24 points and made 41 percent of his 3-point attempts.

The Eagles and Ospreys tip off at 3 p.m.
