NAPLES, Fla. Deputies arrested one suspect Tuesday night following a high-speed chase down U.S. 41, but are still searching for the others involved, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said. The pursuit began around 9:45 p.m. on U.S. 41 after an unsuccessful traffic stop, deputies said. During the chase, the suspect hit another vehicle near Bayshore Drive and continued to weave in and out of traffic. A female passenger also allegedly jumped out of the vehicle at some point, according to deputies. The suspect then crashed into a concrete wall near Goodlette Road and fled on foot, the sheriff’s office said. He jumped into the water and hid under a boat behind Kelly’s Fish House, where deputies eventually found him. Further investigation revealed the suspect’s vehicle was stolen out of Lee County. Deputies are searching for the woman who jumped out of the vehicle and the driver of the car he hit. Anyone with information is asked to call the Collier County Sheriff’s Office at 239-774-4434.
