MARCO ISLAND, Fla. — An 18-year-old Naples man has succumbed to injuries suffered in a Jan. 2 crash at the intersection of San Marco Road and Goodland Drive, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The single-vehicle wreck happened at 4:46 a.m. when Tristen Jennings lost control of his 1994 Chevy Suburban and hit a utility pole, according to the FHP. Jennings was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. His passenger remains in critical condition at Lee Memorial Hospital, the FHP said. Charges are pending a further investigation. No further information was immediately available.
