McGregor RV Park residents demand better living conditions

Published: Updated:

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Many residents are frustrated with management at McGregor RV Park for not following through with maintenance complaints.

Tenant Vicki Burton is no longer keeping quiet about the unsafe living conditions at the mobile home park.

Burton called maintenance multiple times about broken windows and moldy bathroom floors within the last four months, but her requests were ignored.

“One broken window was replaced about a month ago… but other than that, no other work has been done,” she said.

She also contacted management four times for help, but their only answer is that they’ll get to it when they can, she said.

Burton isn’t alone.

Several others on the property have also complained about plumbing. One resident had to drain the water himself after showering, he said.

Residents are lucky if they can get from one side of their unit to the other without falling through the floorboards, Burton said. She wrote a letter to management demanding that repairs be made immediately.

WINK News contacted management and were told “things will change.”
