CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A 74-year-old woman was hurt after an explosion triggered when she smoked a cigarette near her oxygen tank, the Florida Bureau of Fire and Arson Investigations said.

The extent of the woman’s injuries is not known, but there is no damage to her home on 1920 SW 47th Terrace, according to police. She was flown to a hospital in Tampa.

The Cape Coral Fire Department saw both cigarettes and e-cigarettes in her home. The explosion was originally thought to have been caused by an e-cigarette until investigators found otherwise.

No further information was immediately available.
