WINK News Reporter John Trierweiler FORT MYERS, Fla. — Southwest Florida residents have until Thursday to submit cards to 92.5 Fox Radio’s holiday themed initiative, Trey’s 10,000 for the Troops. The original goal was 10,000, but the influx of cards has already surpassed that, totaling more than 30,000 so far. The initiative provides holiday cheer for Southwest Florida soldiers serving abroad who are unable to come home for the holidays. Lee Memorial Hospital is looking for volunteers to help sort cards before sending them overseas. Those interested will need to bring a form of identification and can volunteer from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the hospital on 2776 S. Cleveland Ave.
