IMMOKALEE, Fla. – Two people are at Southwest Florida hospitals after a three-car crash last Saturday morning at the intersection of State Road 82 and Church Road, state troopers said.

Donald Cody, 33, of Fort Myers, is at Lee Memorial Hospital with critical injuries after a driver, David Gordon, 75, of Plantation, made a left turn from Church Road onto State Road 82. Cody hit the back of Gordon’s car. A third driver, Bernabe Garcia, 27, of Immokalee, reacted to Gordon, who veered into his lane, then struck the front right of Cody’s car, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Garcia was taken to North Collier Hospital with minor injuries, FHP said.

Gordon was uninjured.

Alcohol was not a factor in the wreck.
