You'll be able eat Girl Scout cookies for breakfast soon

(CNN) General Mills announced plans to release two limited-edition Girl Scout cereals.

The two flavors are Thin Mints and Caramel Crunch. The first is one of the 12 Girl Scout cookie flavors.

General Mills said the cereal will go on sale in stores nationwide in January, the start of the traditional cookie-selling season.

The cereal announcement comes two years after the organization began selling cookies online. General Mills said some of the proceeds will benefit the Girl Scouts of the United States of America. The Girl Scouts declined comment.
