NAPLES, Fla. — A renourishment project will shut down a Naples beach beginning this week. The Horizon Way beach access will be closed to the public starting Thursday, the Naples Police Department said. A reopening date isn’t set in stone, but the project is expected to be done no later than Nov. 23. Crews will be delivering sand and laying it on the beach. Police will occassionally stop traffic on Gulf Shore Boulevard North to allow trucks to go in and out of the beach parking lot, which will also be closed to the public.
