Construction will cause lane closures, delays in Fort Myers Beach

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Construction will bring lane closures and delays starting Monday night on Estero Blvd. between Lovers Lane and Madera Road, Florida Power and Light said.

FPL will update and renovate power poles to accommodate future severe weather impacts, the statement said. Closures will be in the southbound and center right turning lanes.

This will occur from 8 p.m. to 6 p.m. weeknights, and should finish by early 2017, the statement said. There will be workers helping alleviate congestion.

“Flaggers will alternate traffic direction frequently, but motorists can expect delays,” FPL said.
