FORT MYERS, Fla. — A suspect accused of killing a 22-year-old Fort Myers man in May has been set free. The state failed to deliver enough evidence to press charges against 20-year-old Abraham Isaac Rivera, so he was allowed to leave jail Monday. The hunt for Powell’s killer continues. Kayla Stone, Powell’s girlfriend and the mother of his 3-year-old son, said she and the child have received threats. It’s unclear where those threats originated from. Stone is pleading for anyone with information about the case to come forward.
