PUNTA GORDA, Fla. — The Peace River Wildlife Center is going to stay after coming to an agreement with the City of Punta Gorda this week.

The center is being moved to Ponce de Leon Park and engineer James Herston has volunteered to do the work for free, potentially saving the city up to $122,000.

Herston will be meeting with the city and center officials to plan the redesign.
