Collier man kills wife in murder-suicide

NAPLES, Fla. — Thomas Albert Alcock and Jane Margaret Alcock, both 83, were found dead in their home on Woodshire Lane in the Forest Lakes community Monday morning in what detectives believe is a murder-suicide, according to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives believe Thomas Alcock shot and killed his wife with a handgun around 3:00 a.m., as well as their dog and cat. He then called 911 and confessed that he murdered his wife before turning the gun on himself.

Neighbors didn’t hear the shots and were shocked by the incident.

One neighbor, who chose to remain anonymous, said everyone liked them and they were planning to return to Michigan.

Friends said that Jane had Alzheimer’s and Tom was suffering from other health issues.
