NORTH NAPLES, Fla. — An unidentified construction worker was rescued Friday morning after being trapped inside a manhole at Talis Park.

The 33-year-old man, who works for Earth Tech Enterprises, was operating a concrete saw just after 11:30 a.m. when he asked for ventilation, then passed out, the North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District said.

The department’s technical team reached the man and got him out of the hole about 30 minutes later. He later regained consciousness while in an ambulance, NCFCR said.

The man was airlifted to a nearby hospital.
