FMHS marching band to play across the pond

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Fort Myers High School’s Green Wave marching band will be traveling to London to march in the city’s New Year’s Day parade.

The band has been practicing for over a year and band members say they are excited to take the trip of a lifetime.

“It’s really cool because usually we go to regional places,” junior Paul Walker said. “But now we actually get to go out of the country.”

The students are selling shirts and hosting a golf tournament at Fiddlesticks, located at 15391 Cannongate Dr., on Oct. 15 to raise funds for their expenses.
