LCSO: Death at Lehigh Acres scene a homicide

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — The death of a Lehigh Acres man whose home has been at the center of a crime scene since Monday afternoon has been ruled a homicide, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.

Ja’Marcus Keon Taylor, 23 died in the Monday incident, his mother said and the sheriff’s office confirmed. One woman nearby said she heard a series of gunshots, and a source told WINK News that Taylor was shot.

It remains unclear how Taylor was killed.

Golfview Boulevard remains blocked off from John Avenue to Douglas Lane.

Taylor, 23, lived with his wife and two daughters in a house at 4674 Golfview Blvd. that’s at the center of the scene, family members told WINK News. Police tape has surrounded the perimeter of the home for more than 24 hours.
