Early voting starts Saturday, runs through Aug. 28

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Those casting votes in the Aug. 30 primary election can head to the polls starting Saturday.

Early voting is available through Aug. 27 in Lee and Collier counties; Aug. 28 in Charlotte County.

Florida is a closed primary state, which means only registered members of a political party can vote for their respective party’s candidate in a primary election. Voters without party affiliation or those registered with a minor political party are not eligible to vote for major party candidates.
