Human remains found near ‘ninja robber’ home

IMMOKALEE, Fla. — Human skeletal remains were found near the home of one of the so-called Ninja Robbers, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to WINK News.

Investigators don’t suspect foul play but are nonetheless looking into the possibility as they comb an area near the intersection of Madison Avenue West and Indian River Street. An autopsy is underway.

The bones are near the home of Johnathan Contreras, the youngest member of a group accused of a violent string of home invasions across the state. However, it’s unclear if the body has any connection to Contreras or his co-defendants.
