DURHAM, N.C. (CNN) — Authorities in North Carolina are working to repair a road after a driver plunged his car into a sinkhole. Officials shut down a portion of Glenn Road on Sunday night after heavy rain and rushing creek water caused the hole to form. It’s estimated to be 15 to 20 feet deep. The driver was rescued without serious injury.
