HOUSTON (KTRK) — Bees living inside a neighbor’s utility box stung a woman and her two dog Thursday, killing a Pomeranian named Mandy and seriously wounding another named Snowy. The owner, Joan Cassata, said she doesn’t think Snowy will survive. The bees became a problem when the Cassatas temporarily removed a fence. The utility company said they plan to remove the bees this weekend. “I hope they’re good to their word,” Cassata said. “You shouldn’t have to be in your backyard and wonder if your pets or your children are going to be safe. Our pets are our children.”
