Mother vows to find son’s killer in Fort Myers hit-and-run

FORT MYERS, Fla. – A mother who is less than a day away from her son’s burial says she will find his killer after a hit-and-run wreck claimed his life Sunday.

Tracy King said she has no idea who hit her son, 18-year-old Adam King. But she said the person who did it should come forward.

Adam was riding his motorcycle down Colonial Boulevard on June 19 when around 11 p.m. he was struck and killed near the Midpoint Bridge. The driver never stopped.

“You know who you are, who killed him, and hit him and left him to die,” Tracy King said.

The owner of the truck that was involved in the wreck, , Adam Costello, has denied any involvement and immediately turned his car over to law enforcement, according to his attorney.

A week after Adam’s death, his family has no answers. Tracy said she has promised her son that she will find justice.

“I’ve put all my grief in a little spot right now to bring out only when I’ve found justice for my son,” Tracy said. “He would want me to do that. He would say ‘C’mon mom, get tough. Find him.'”
