Jefferson Park needs votes to win new playground equipment

Published: Updated:

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Some Southwest Florida parents are looking for online votes to boost their effort to win $20,000 worth of new playground equipment.

The money will go towards upgrading the old, rusting equipment.

Parents say the city has told them it does not have the money to buy new equipment. So the group put together a video about Jefferson Park and entered a contest sponsored by the non-profit group, Kaboom.

The top five finalists each win $20,000 from the Dr. Pepper/Snapple group.

To vote for the park, check out this video and click on the vote icon.
