Stock file image. MGN APOPKA, Fla. (AP) – An Orange County woman has died after deputies say her husband accidentally shot her in the head while cleaning his gun. Orange County sheriff’s office spokesman Travis Mackey tells news outlets that 63-year-old Darrell Reid called deputies Monday night to report he had accidentally shot Katie Reid in the head while cleaning his firearm in their Zellwood home. Sixty-two-year-old Katie Reid was taken to a hospital, where she died. Mackey says the incident is currently being labeled as a death investigation. Darrell Reid has not been arrested or charged. A website shows Darrell Reid and his wife founded and were pastors at “Happy Hill Ministries.” Their home is also listed as an address for the couple’s ministry.
