3 new restaurants coming this fall to Coconut Point Cape Coral City Council salary, stipend won’t appear on November ballot
FORT MYERS, Fla.- The state has dismissed a second sexual assault case against a former Cape Coral Police Department officer. Casey Ortiz, 35, was accused of having sex with two underage girls while on duty. He was found guilty in April of two counts of sexual assault of a minor in the first of two trials. Ortiz’s attorney, David Brener, confirms the former officer will not have to go through a second trial “or meet additional sanctions” on the second set of charges. “He is very pleased Mr. Ortiz, who has vastly maintained his innocence,” Brener said.
