Large alligator trapped at East Naples community

EAST NAPLES, Fla.- Locals called in a trapper after spotting a huge alligator walking down Bayshore Road outside of a gated community.

Ray the trapper reeled in the 8-foot gator but he along with deputies are still searching for a 10-foot gator living in the same lake alongside Windstar on Naples Bay.

If you feel endangered or believe wildlife is in danger call the 24-hour wildlife alert hotline. The number is 1-888-404-3922. Experts say if you spot a gator stay 30-feet away, they can run up to 30 mph. And remember, it is illegal to feed an alligator; it’s a felony.
